My Story

Hello, I’m Amy Spears — illustrator, graphic designer and artist behind Yellow Birds Design.

This little studio began with a sketchpad, an iPad. I started drawing birds, forests, ghosts, and little moments of magic—just for friends and just for fun. I still draw a LOT of birds, birds with attitude, birds with something to say.Before Yellow Birds Design, I spent 20 years as a graphic designer in the publishing industry, creating other people’s stories. In 2024 I opened Yellow Birds Design with a simple goal: to create art with heart.My work is rooted in storytelling and inspired by the everyday. Whether it’s a card, a print, or a calendar, every Yellow Birds Design piece is created to brighten someone’s day, offer comfort, or help you say what matters most.Thank you for being here.
